la-cueca-miniaturaDid you think that your volunteer service was a worthwhile experience? Would you like to see the program grow? There are 3 ways that you can promote the National Volunteer Center and the English Opens Doors Program after you’ve returned to your home country; you can elect to promote the program by attending volunteer expos and fairs, you can serve as a contact person for future or potential volunteers, and you can send us a testimonial.

Attend a Volunteer Fair
If you specify that you are willing to attend volunteer fairs, you may be contacted by the National Volunteer Center and asked if you are available to set up a stand and represent the National Volunteer Center at the fair; it will usually be at a college or university. The National Volunteer Center will send you promotional materials to help with your presentation.

Offer to serve as a contact person
If you are interested in sharing your experience and ideas with prospective volunteers, but from the comfort of your own home, think about becoming a National Volunteer Center contact person. Many prospective volunteers like to talk to people shadowswho have actually take part in the program and will ask for the emails of former volunteers.

Keep in mind that you don’t have to agree to be both a fair presenter and a contact point - you can select either one or both, whatever you’re most comfortable with. Any help is appreciated!

Share your Experience
If you want to share a testimonial, either about your experience volunteering with the National Volunteer Center and living in Chile or an update on your accomplishments since leaving the English Opens Doors Program, you also have the opportunity to do while registering as an alumni.  You might even appear on our site!
